Quilting 101, by Arliss Barber

All classes are in the Chota Quilt Room

Great for beginners or those self-taught quilters who want a refresher.  You will make a small sampler quilt during the six-class series that takes you from precision cutting and piecing through borders, quilting and bindings. The cost is $60 for the six-class series, made out to Arliss Barber. Sign-ups starting in December. 

You really need to be able to make substantially all the classes. If the first session dates won't work for you, check out the dates in the second session. Please know your own machine; there will be no machine instruction. For further info, email Arliss at flapper99@hotmail.com .

Fuzzy Wuzzy Jacket, by Anna Kelly

This jacket is created with a sweatshirt or with fleece yardage used as the base.  We topstitch the strips of fabric to the base in a controlled, random fashion.  Then we embellish the jacket with yarn.  Fun for beginners and experienced quilters.

Thursday April 29, 10 - 4: In this class, based on an original block design by Janie Tucker, the focus will be on the "needle turn" (or "cut-and-turn") method of appliqué and ruching. If you want to learn or brush up on these methods, please come and enjoy lots of tips and tricks to perfect your hand appliqué. Supply list.
