April 8, 2010 Full-day class with Amy Stewart Winsor, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free-spirited technique entitled “Crooked Log Cabin for the Precision Impaired” is for those who love playing with color better than they like planning every detail. You will sew like crazy and create most of a wall hanging quilt top. After making your blocks by machine in class, you will learn how to fit “non-square” blocks together creating Amy’s original “Crooked Borders.” The supply list can be picked up at the time of sign up or you may download it. April 9, 2010 Amy Stewart Winsor will give a one-hour slide lecture entitled, “Oops! Now What? Fixing Mistakes Creatively.” Some people say there are no such things as mistakes; they are just “design opportunities.” In this lecture Amy will show examples of quilts which were going wrong, and how they were rescued. Learn how the famous and not-so-famous have rescued quilts which were heading toward disaster. This presentation provides hope for everyone, because mistakes happen to all of us.
