Non-members will be charged a $5 fee for Programs unless otherwise indicated. There is a charge for all classes. All classes are held at the Chota Quilt Room located at 145 Awohili Drive, Loudon, TN. Programs for 2012

February 10 - AQS quilt challenge entries
 
March 8: All day class "Thread Painted Landscapes,"- Nancy Prince, renowned thread painting artist from Orlando, Florida. She will introduce the two thread painting techniques she uses. A zigsag and straight stitch are the only stitches necessary to create amazing thread painted designs - no artistic skill is needed, so come join us for a day full of fun. Signups begin at the January meeting.

March 9: Nancy Prince will be lecturing on "So What is Thread Painting All About?" at our Friday, March 9, meeting, following by an afternoon class on "Thread Sketching Flowers of the Night." This is a fun and easy technique to learn, especially when you let the background fabric provide some of the work for you. In this class you will learn the importance of selecting the right thread color as well as the importance of using different weights of thread in the same design to give more realism to your project. Signups begin at the January meeting.
