Good Samaritan Center Quilt

Good Samaritan Quilt

In June 2003 the Village Quilters donated a beautiful quilt designed specifically for the Good Samaritan Center to hang in their lobby reception area. The quilt highlights the “helping hands” and “hearts” of the organization. Past member Marilynn Rambo presented the quilt to Matt Matson. The quilt was completely hand quilted by member Barbara Jones. The quilt is very uplifting just by looking at the wonderful bright colors that were used within the piecing.

In June 2003 we received a letter from Matt Mattson, the Director of the Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County thanking The Village Quilters for the donation of the quilt. Mr. Mattson wrote:

“Thank you so much for the beautiful quilt that was recently presented to The Good Samaritan Center. The “symbols” and wording on it couldn’t have been more appropriate! It is proudly hung on our reception wall area for all our clients and volunteers to see. We have had many positive comments about how beautiful it is.

The Tellico Quilters were so generous with their time and talent. What would The Good Samaritan Center do without people like you”!

What a tremendous service effort our quilters achieved through their love of quilting!
